Upon Installation, Directorist will automatically create the Search Results Page. In case of difficulties, or if you need to recreate the Search Result Page, you need to use the shortcode [directorist_search_result]<\/code> and assign the page in Settings \u2192 Page Set Up \u2192 Pages, Links and Views \u2192 Listing Search Result Page.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Home and Search Listings page are the same thing but, the Search Result page is not. When you click on “Search Listing” on the Search Listings\/Search Home page you will land on the Search Results Page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search Result Page Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This page allows you to control how search results are displayed, how filters appear, and how users interact with view and sorting options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Layout & Search<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This section allows you to configure how search results are displayed and how users interact with filters on the results page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Listings Layout<\/strong>
Choose the layout style for your search result page:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Left Sidebar Filter<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays filters on the left side of the listings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Right Sidebar Filter<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays filters on the right side.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Top Filter<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays filters horizontally at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • No Filter<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays listings only without a sidebar or filter panel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Number of Columns<\/strong>
    Set how many columns of listings you want to display per row. You can choose between 1 to 5 columns<\/strong> depending on your design layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Search Results Per Page<\/strong>
    Define how many listings appear on each page. The default is 6 listings per page<\/strong>, but you can increase or decrease as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hide Top Search Bar<\/strong>
    Enable this to hide the search bar that appears above the results. Useful when you only want to show filters and listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Filters Text<\/strong>
    Customize the text label for the filter button (e.g., change \u201cFilters\u201d to \u201cRefine Search\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Reset Text<\/strong>
    Set custom text for the \u201cReset\u201d button that clears all applied filters (e.g., \u201cClear All\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Header Settings<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Control how the header area of the search results appears, including listing count, view options, and sorting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Display Header<\/strong>
    Enable or disable the header section. The header includes the listing count, layout view options, and sorting controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Display Listings Count<\/strong>
    Show or hide the total number of listings found in the search results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Listings Count Text<\/strong>
    Customize the text displayed next to the count number (e.g., \u201cItems Found,\u201d \u201cResults,\u201d or \u201cListings Found\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    View Type<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Allow users to select their preferred layout for viewing listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Grid View<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays listings in multiple columns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • List View<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays listings in a vertical stacked layout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Map View<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays listings on an interactive map.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      You can enable one or multiple view types. Users can toggle between them using the \u201cView As\u201d dropdown in the header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Sorting Options<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Sorting helps users organize listings based on their preference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Enable Sorting Options<\/strong>
      Turn this on to show a \u201cSort By\u201d dropdown in the header.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cSort By\u201d Label<\/strong>
      Change the label text of the sorting dropdown (e.g., \u201cSort By,\u201d \u201cOrder Listings,\u201d etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Sort Options<\/strong>
      Select which sorting criteria are available for users:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • A to Z (Title)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Alphabetical order (A \u2192 Z).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Z to A (Title)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Reverse alphabetical order (Z \u2192 A).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Latest Listings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Newest listings first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Oldest Listings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Oldest listings first.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Popular Listings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Listings sorted by view count or engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Price (Low to High)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Sorted by ascending price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Price (High to Low)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Sorted by descending price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Random Listings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Displays listings in a random order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
